GB3YR Live streaming shack Cam

We are proud to announce our latest channel to SYRG TV – The GB3YR Shack cam.

GB3YR is our analogue 2m repeater located in Maltby, near Rotherham in South Yorkshire.

What makes GB3YR so unique is that it works hand-in-hand with our MoTron TxID? Transmitter FingerPrinting System.

The MoTron TxID board identifies individual transmitters using a patented technique based on the principle that carrier operated radio transmitters exhibit a unique frequency versus time start-up characteristic before stabilizing on the operating frequency.

This means that all transmissions can be “Fingerprinted” to detect and identify individual radios that are being used to abuse analogue repeaters. Later this year we’ll be giving a demonstration of the MoTron TxID to show you how good it really is :-)

The new GB3YR stream can accessed from our LIVE TV page on the site.

Uk Amateur radio signal could set world record

A radio signal which has travelled more than 16,000 miles around the globe from Australia to Norfolk could put the county in the record books.

Barry Williams, 46, from Sheringham, believes he could have set a new world record after managing to pick up a signal from Australia using a portable radio backpack.

Barry who often uses Beeston Hill in Sheringham as a point to send out and receive radio signals – said: “It’s pure luck if you can get a signal outside of Europe.
