Radio used to save RMS Titanic passengers

A very interesting podcast to be found on the BBC website link below.

It is based on messages sent via Morse code from HMS Titanic to other ships in the North Atlantic requesting help after she stuck an iceberg.

The Morse code messages between all the ships have been turned into voices.

New antenna replacement for GB7YD and GB3HF

Today we have swapped both antennas at the farm after 3 years of continuous service in such a harsh environment.

We have a dedicated 2m antenna for port C of GB7YD and a dual 70cm antenna for Port B of YD and 6m for GB3HF. The cost of the project this afternoon has run it at around £250 which includes both antennas and patch cables. If you would like to make a donation towards this please click here.

We have been waiting for a break in the weather to do this. Thanks for your patience until we got the antennas swapped out. Both antennas are working fine. We welcome any new signal reports now this has been done.
