Prasad, VU2PTT (also W2PTT), Contest Manager for the Amateur Radio Society of India (ARSI), reports that the 6 meter band has finally been allocated for Amateur Radio use.
The new allocation says:
50-54 MHz on F1B, F2B, F3E, F3C modes using 25 watts.
The other interesting development is that 400 watts DC input power has been allowed on all HF bands for the General class license. Earlier the limit was 150 watts input with 400 watts being allowed in very small sub-bands for the old Advanced class license holders.
The full details of the new allocations and license structure is available at:

Wonder who will be next to make the news on the increasingly popular 6m band?

Included are all the UK VHF/2m and UHF/70cms repeaters in alphabetical order, followed by the same format for UK Digital Nodes. Obviously being based in God’s home county and biased towards GB7YD there are memories options to link GB7YD to any of the currently available reflectors.
We hope that everyone enjoys this usefull file for when mobile with a 2820.
