Dundee Amateur Radio Club Group gets funding for D-STAR

Broughty Ferry RNL Visit 2005

Dundee Amateur Radio Club (DARC) were recently awarded a grant of nearly £3,000 by the National Lottery under the AWARDS FOR ALL SCHEME.

This Grant has been used to purchase the equipment required to provide a D-Star digital UHF radio repeater for radio amateurs from Dundee, Angus and North Fife.

DARC are also grateful to amateur radio equipment supplier Jaycee Electronics in Glenrothes for their contribution of equipment to this project.

This D-Star repeater utilises digital communication along with the internet, allowing radio amateurs to communicate worldwide with other amateurs who are connected to D-STAR repeaters.

The NOV Licence holder is Martin Higgins MMØDUN.
