The IRELAND Conference server Node number 2605 was brought into service over 5 years ago and is permanently connected to the 2 meter EI2IPG and 10 meter EI0IPG repeaters here in Donegal Ireland.
Most of the EchoLink gateways in Ireland have chosen to permanently connect to the Ireland conference server as it makes traveling from place to place a pleasure as world wide connection and area to area is possible. There are many links from all over the world that have a permanently connected gateway to the server.
All PC Users, Links, Repeater and Conferences are very welcome. It is not uncommon to have over 40 connected links or repeaters at any one time. Connected stations can come and go as they please as there are no restrictions on how long they can stay. Some stations connect 24/7.
The time out on the conference is set to 4 minutes this is controlled by an automatic system admin that will mute offending station for 15 minutes. Muted station can remove there mute simply by disconnecting from the conference and reconnecting again. It is requested that a 4 second gap between over’s to enable connected links and repeaters to re set.

Intermips backbone network now stretches from Manchester to Frankfurt, with further connectivity into Amsterdam (AMSIX & NL-ix), Paris (SFINX) and Frankfurt (DE-CIX) and provides, via there vast network of partner organizations, circuits from 2Mbps up to 10Gbps. There infrastructure comprises a heavily redundant 10 Gigabit network across nine major London data centers and 1-10Gbps connections into key London exchanges including LONAP, LINX, and LIPEX and Manchester exchange, MaNAP.
The system is capable of supporting 6000 Plus concurrent users. The server has redundant power supply’s and ups support providing a high quality 24x7x365 redundant conference server.
I have admin from various parts of the world which I find an asset as it means that the conference is watched over 24/7 in case of problems or in the case of and emergency the conference can be passed to any emergency system that is put in place if required.
