The Rotherham Show in Clifton Park was a fantastic weekend for the group to promote amateur radio in the community.
With over 20,000 visitors pass by we had great fun talking to people and demonstrating the many facets and modes of the hobby, from local analouge, through Satellite work, HF with a few experimental antennas and obviously D-Star.
We also met up with some great local contacts such as the scouts and the emergency and safety team at Rotherham Council.
G4LUE chatted with a lovely lady from the Asian Radio Network about the possiblity of him giving a community radio interview explaining the work the SYRG do.
Local HAMS and the Dave Wilson of the RSGB dropped in too to see how SYRG spreads the word, the support was very much appreciated.
Thanks to all who supported this weekend. The Local HAMs we met and all from the many varied and splendid community that is Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
